National Electronics Week 2011 will take place April 12-13 in Birmingham. The NEW:UK conference will focus on embedded systems and software, rapid prototyping, component manufacturing, component distribution, power supplies, capital equipment, PCB equipment manufacturers and services, and board manufacturers. The first 5000 qualified pre-registered visitors for NEW:UK will also be able to attend the Gadget Show Live on the trade and press day (April 12, 2011).
Dolphin Integration is offering a VHDL-AMS modeling training workshop in April. The VHDL-AMS Modeling training event will present the language constructs of either Verilog-AMS or VHDL-AMS. It covers techniques for creating and validating behavioral models. Designers will learn how to perform bottom-up modeling through structural assembly of behavioral models for multi-level simulations. The seminar is ideal for designers involved in mixed-signal electrical designs and/or analog behavioral modeling and simulation.
This year’s DATE 2011 conference will feature two educational technical workshops hosted by Apache Design Solutions. The Chip-Package-System Methodology from Early Stage to Sign-off workshop will take place on March 15th. The Power Methodology for Energy Efficient Designs workshop will take place March 16th. Apache Design Solutions will also present two technical papers at DATE: Ball Grid Array Packages Electrical Optimization Using Apache Package Modeling Tools and System Level Power Integrity Analysis and Supply Network Optimization of a Dual Core CPU.
The 2011 SEMATECH Knowledge Series (SKS) will discuss the challenges and technology developments in next-generation lithography, materials and methods to enhance transistor and back-end development, and ways to improve manufacturing efficiency and yield. The worldwide conferences, symposia, and workshops are designed to enhance global knowledge and collaboration in key areas of nanoelectronics R&D by providing technology forums to explore critical issues and build industry consensus.
