ISaGRAF introduced version 5.3 of the firmware development kit (PRDK) for ISaGRAF 6, which is a IEC 61131-3 and IEC 61499 compliant firmware and workbench for building industrial automation products. The ISaGRAF PRDK v5.3 features portable C source code for the ISaGRAF firmware and detailed examples and documentation so that Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and integrators can port and compile the ISaGRAF firmware for their controller or automation product. Once they have customized the C source code, the OEM or integrator then compiles and loads it onto their automation product.
RapidRollout introduced their Workbench web-based tool. Workbench enables developers to create a customized operating system for their applications. The tool helps developers configure and build a complete platform image in less than an hour. Access to Workbench is free. New accounts receive ten free build credits that can be used to complete small projects or evaluate the RapidRollout system for use in a larger project. The operating system itself is 100% open source and free of charge. There is no lock-in mechanisms.

IAR Systems introduced a global volume license program. IAR Volume License Program targets all customers that wish to save money by reusing previous investments, ensure flexibility in multiple and time-critical projects and/or want to protect their investment by additional support and services. The program includes five different levels; customers receive a combination of benefits and discounts based on how many registered IAR Embedded Workbench licenses they have.
