Synopsys introduced an integrated hybrid prototyping solution. The out-of-box solution features Synopsys’ Virtualizer virtual prototyping and Synopsys’ HAPS FPGA-based prototyping. By integrating the strengths of Virtualizer virtual prototyping with HAPS FPGA-based prototyping using the UMRBus physical link, Synopsys enables designers to develop fully operational SoC prototypes much faster and earlier in the design cycle, and accelerate software development and full system validation. The Synopsys hybrid prototyping solution is available now to early adopters.
Synopsys introduced their Virtualizer virtual prototyping solution. Prototypes created with Virtualizer accelerate software development schedules by up to nine months, and increase productivity by up to 5x over traditional approaches to teams performing software development, hardware/software integration, system-on-chip (SoC) verification and system validation. Virtualizer is available now. Virtualizer Development Kits (VDKs), which includes a subset of Virtualizer features, is also available now.
Synopsys introduced 28nm design solutions that integrate manufacturing compliance and system-level prototyping with TSMC Reference Flow 12.0. The extended Reference Flow 12.0 reduces time-to-market and speeds time-to-volume using TSMC’s 28-nm process technology. The design enablement solution features virtual prototyping and high-level synthesis linked to TSMC’s advanced processes, expanded manufacturing compliance capabilities and full support of TSMC’s latest 28-nm design rules and models within Synopsys’ Galaxy Implementation Platform.
