Low-Power Technology Summit Features Jan M. Rabaey

Cadence Design Systems is holding a Low-Power Technology Summit. The event will be keynoted by UC Berkeley Professor Jan M. Rabaey. He is the author of Low Power Design Essentials (Integrated Circuits and Systems). Rabaey will address power issues that impact today’s chip designers. The one-day technical conference will take place on October 18th at Cadence Design Systems in San Jose, California. The event is free.

2010 AdvancedTCA / MicroTCA Summit Issues Call for Presentations

The AdvancedTCA/MicroTCA Summit is seeking presentations. The event provides information on the current state of AdvancedTCA and MicroTCA, the emerging standard platforms for a wide range of embedded applications. The AdvancedTCA/MicroTCA Summit consists of tutorials, panel discussions, keynotes, paper sessions, workshops, and roundtables. The conference is open to everyone involved in the design, development, integration, marketing, use, or support of telecommunications equipment, or related hardware, software, or services.

Magma Users Summit on Integrated Circuits Conference

The Magma Users Summit on Integrated Circuits (MUSIC) conference will take on March 10 in San Jose. MUSIC will feature parallel tracks of technical presentations and tutorials given by Magma users, design industry experts and Magma Design Automation’s engineering research and development staff, and an exposition of Magma partners. The Magma Users Summit on Integrated Circuits is a forum for Magma users to exchange ideas, discuss common problems and explore solutions related to the design and manufacturing of integrated circuits.

Magma Issues Call for Papers for 2010 MUSIC User Conferences

Magma Design Automation issued a call for papers for the 2010 Magma Users Summit on Integrated Circuits (MUSIC) user conferences. MUSIC Silicon Valley will be held at the Doubletree Hotel in San Jose on March 10, MUSIC China will be on March 23 at the Shanghai Hotel in Shanghai, and MUSIC India will take on March 30 at the Taj Residency in Bangalore. In a new offering for the 2010 MUSIC events, Magma is requesting additional topics from users. Users whose suggested topics are added to the agenda will win a Dell Inspiron Mini netbook.

MassTLC Summit: The Future of Robotics

The Mass Technology Leadership Council (MassTLC) will hold a Future of Robotics Summit on Tuesday, December 8, 2009 from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Microsoft NERD Center in Cambridge. Attendees will hear from leading robotic research institutions about the latest research coming down the pipeline and opportunities for partnership and commercialization. The research briefing will culminate with a presentation on technology transfer opportunities and tours of MIT’s Robotics Labs.

Cadence Mixed-Signal Design Summit

Cadence Design Systems will host the Mixed-Signal Design Summit on October 27, 2009 from 8:45 a.m. to 6 p.m. Pacific time. The event will take place at Cadence Design Systems (2655 Seely Ave., San Jose, Calif. 95134) in Building 10 R&D Auditorium. Engineers and executives from Cadence Design Systems and leading semiconductor firms are meeting in an open forum to discuss the challenges of mixed-signal design methodologies.
