Cadence Design Systems introduced version 16.6 of the OrCAD PCB tool. The design solution includes new features, enhanced customization capabilities, and 20% simulation performance improvements to help engineers with product creation. The new version offers improved usability, performance and productivity. The Cadence OrCAD v16.6 PCB design solution is expected to be available in the fourth of this year.
Data Translation rolled out version three of the VIBpoint Framework. The software, combined with DT dynamic signal acquisition (DAQ) devices, provides a complete vibration testing solution. VIBpoint Framework V3.0 includes tools to output stimuli with waveform generation. The application features easy-to-use configuration windows, which enables flexible selection of the desired acquisition, processing, plotting and display parameters. VIBpoint Framework V3.0 is priced at $1495.
Synopsys’ unified mixed-signal IC design solution has been qualified for TowerJazz’s power management analog/mixed-signal reference design flow (Reference Flow 2.0) and 180-nanometer (nm) Power Management (PM) interoperable process design kit (iPDK). Synopsys’ tool suite, the foundry iPDK and reference design flow are verified to seamlessly work together to enable designers to quickly become productive.
Synopsys introduced an integrated hybrid prototyping solution. The out-of-box solution features Synopsys’ Virtualizer virtual prototyping and Synopsys’ HAPS FPGA-based prototyping. By integrating the strengths of Virtualizer virtual prototyping with HAPS FPGA-based prototyping using the UMRBus physical link, Synopsys enables designers to develop fully operational SoC prototypes much faster and earlier in the design cycle, and accelerate software development and full system validation. The Synopsys hybrid prototyping solution is available now to early adopters.
