The Real-Time & Embedded Computing Conference (RTECC) is headed to Boston at the Sheraton Framingham next Tuesday, May 15, 2012. The RTC Group’s event features two keynotes, Android: A Medical Development Perspective (presented by Alan Cohen of Logic PD) and Where’s My Drone?… and other Technology Security Issues for Tactical Military Electronics (presented by Glenn Thoren of Charles Stark Draper Laboratory). RTECC also includes two new co-located events: the Medical Electronic Device Solutions Conference (MEDS) and the Military Electronics Development Conference known as MILESTONE.
PragmaDev rolled out version 4.3 of the Real Time Developer Studio. RTDS v4.3 includes 15 new features. According to PragmaDev, RTDS is the most complete model driven development and testing tool dedicated to real time and embedded applications. PragmaDev RTDS offers three levels of modeling and testing: informal, semi-formal, and fully formal.
Symtavision released version 3.1 of SymTA/S and TraceAnalyzer integrated system-level tools for planning, optimizing and verifying embedded real-time systems. Improvements in SymTA/S 3.1 and TraceAnalyzer 3.1 include new Scenario Management, a new FIBEX 3.1 import interface and improved Relative Deadline support. In addition, over 50 functional improvements have been implemented at the request Audi, BMW, Bosch, Daimler, Fiat, General Motors, Infineon and Volkswagen.
Pentek introduced the RTR 2746 real-time data recording and playback instrument. The RTR 2746 can digitize analog inputs at up to 200 MS/sec per channel and stream data to mass storage at an aggregate rate of 1600 MB per second. The Pentek RTR 2746 meets MIL-STD-810F requirements for operation in harsh environments and is ideal for unmanned vehicles. Pricing of the configurable, multi-channel instrument starts at $64,995 USD and is available 10-14 weeks ARO.
The Real-Time & Embedded Computing Conference (RTECC) will take place in Irvine, California on August 23, 2011 and in San Diego on August 25th. The San Diego RTECC event is co-located with the new MEDS – Medical Electronic Device Solutions Conference (covers home diagnostics and institutional healthcare imaging). RTECC events cover industrial control and automation, military and aerospace, telecommunications / telephony, vehicular control and maintenance, consumer electronics, data communications, process control, and embedded appliances.
Lauterbach’s Long Term Trace technology collects large amounts of code performance information from a running embedded system. The data helps engineers to detect and analyse the unpredictable and transient of bugs. Long Term Trace enables extended measurement times for TRACE32 profiling and code-coverage functions. The technology is ideal for the automotive, medical and aerospace industries.
Magma Design Automation introduced Excalibur-Litho fab analysis framework for the development and monitoring of advanced lithography solutions. The tool collects and organizes design and real-time data from the semiconductor manufacturing floor (such as defectivity, metrology and tool history). Excalibur-Litho is built on an open-architecture database that enables safe and secured CAD access and easy fab integration.
SinelaboreRT is a tool for real-time embedded systems developers. SinelaboreRT generates readable and maintainable code from UML modeling tools. The generated code does not require a runtime library and can be easily used in different system designs (RTOS, foreground-background) or even in an IRQ handler. With SinelaboreRT, engineers can convert state-machine models into a target language (C++, Java and C#). Designers can influence the generation process according to thier needs. The built in state-chart editor supports model state diagrams without using a UML tool.
QM (QP Modeler), from Quantum Leaps, is a free, graphical UML modeling tool for designing and implementing real-time embedded applications based on the QP state machine frameworks. QM provides graphical UML state machine diagram editor and generates production-quality, portable, and human-readable C or C++ code that is 100% traceable from the design. QM is designed to support fast development cycle and works with version control systems (VCS). The QM model itself is stored in XML, and is easy to maintain in a VCS.
Atego rolled out Aonix Perc Ultra for VxWorks MILS Platform 2.1. Atego’s Aonix Perc Ultra is a virtual machine and tool set expressly created for demanding embedded and real-time systems requiring Java Standard Edition support. Aonix Perc Ultra offers the ease and efficiency of Java SE without sacrificing integrity, performance, or real-time behavior. Aonix Perc Ultra 5.3 and Aonix Perc Ultra SMP 5.4 feautre Ahead-of-Time (AOT) and Just-in-Time (JIT) compilation, remote debug support, deterministic garbage collection, standard graphics and extended commercial RTOS support on a wide variety of target processors.
