Texas Instruments (TI) WEBENCH System Power Architect

Texas Instruments launched their new WEBENCH System Power Architect, which is an online tool for speeding the design of multi-output, high-performance DC/DC power supply systems. The tool gives engineers a robust design capability to build and optimize a complete power system from the edge of the card to the smallest point-of-load in just about 60 seconds. WEBENCH System Power Architect includes a variety of hot swap controllers and isolated power products.

Texas Instruments Power Supply Design Seminars – 2010 North America

Texas Instruments (TI) will conduct a series of Power Supply Design Seminars in North America. The one-day seminars will take place in 30 cities across the United States and Canada. The seminars offer technical and practical presentations that combine new advanced power supply concepts, basic design principles and real-world application examples. The seminars are designed for all skill levels from the new graduate to the seasoned engineer. The cost of the day-long seminar is $99 USD. Pricing includes a continental breakfast, lunch, a copy of the seminar manual, and presentation materials. Seminars are also planned for Europe, Asia, Mexico and South America for 2011.

WEBENCH Power Architect Tool for Designing Power Supplies

National Semiconductor launched WEBENCH Power Architect. The design tool enables engineers to rapidly create, model and implement multiple-output, high-performance DC-DC power supplies for an entire system. System designers can use WEBENCH Power Architect to instantly optimize multiple power supplies across several performance parameters including topology, intermediate voltage rails, footprint, efficiency, component count, and bill of materials (BOM) cost.
