The integrated circuit (IC) implementation solution fully utilizes distributed computing for place and route. Talus Vortex FX is ideal for all technologies and addresses multi-mode, multi-corner (MMMC) design, low-power design, on-chip variation (OCV), advanced on-chip variation (AOCV), and crosstalk effects. Talus Vortex FX enables designers to implement multimillion-cell designs flat with throughput of over 2 million cells per day.

Mentor Graphics Calibre InRoute Design and Verification Platform

Mentor Graphics introduced the Calibre InRoute design and verification platform. Calibre InRoute enables engineers to natively invoke Calibre tools within the Olympus-SoC place and route system to achieve true manufacturing closure during physical design. The Calibre InRoute automatically detects and fixes DRC violations and performs design for manufacturing (DFM) enhancements while optimizing for area, timing, power and signal integrity.

Synopsys Design Compiler 2010

Synopsys introduced Design Compiler 2010. The tool enables RTL designers to perform floorplan exploration within the synthesis environment to efficiently achieve an optimal floorplan. Design Compiler’s new scalable infrastructure tuned for multicore processors results in 2X faster synthesis runtimes on four cores. Design Compiler 2010 reduces iterations and run times in physical implementation.
