ARM will host a webinar titled, Migrating Microchip PIC18 or PIC24 Projects to ARM Cortex-M MCUs – Moving From Old to New. The webcast will take place at 10am Pacific time (1pm ET) on Tuesday May 4, 2010. The online seminar will demonstrate the tangible benefits of migrating from an old architecture to an ARM Cortex-M processor. The Cortex-M family of 32-bit processors will reduce development cost and time-to-market.
The LDRA tool suite has integrated with Microchip Technology’s MPLAB PIC18, PIC24, and dsPIC32/33 tool chains. The LDRA tool suite integration enables developers to use very low-cost, low-power PIC processors in DO-178B qualified environments. Even though Microchip Technology follows a non-ANSI standard C implementation, LDRA is able to analyze and run code on the target and extract the results to create reports identical to those from a more fully featured development environment.
