EMA, AEi Systems announce expanded Power IC Model Library for Cadence PSpice simulator

EMA Design Automation (EMA) and AEi Systems have announced the latest version, 4.1, of the AEi Systems’ Power IC Model Library for the Cadence PSpice simulator. “This update to the power IC model library will make it easier for our PSpice customers to obtain high quality bench tested models,” says Manny Marcano, President and CEO of EMA.

TI WEBENCH Schematic Export Tool Supports Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Altium Tools

WEBENCH Schematic Export

Texas Instruments introduced WEBENCH Schematic Export. The software is a new online tool for exporting analog designs from TI’s WEBENCH Design Center to computer-aided design (CAD) development platforms from Cadence Design Systems, Mentor Graphics and Altium. With WEBENCH Schematic Export, engineers no longer need to manually enter the design into the CAD platform.

Cadence OrCAD v16.6 PCB design solution

Cadence Design Systems introduced version 16.6 of the OrCAD PCB tool. The design solution includes new features, enhanced customization capabilities, and 20% simulation performance improvements to help engineers with product creation. The new version offers improved usability, performance and productivity. The Cadence OrCAD v16.6 PCB design solution is expected to be available in the fourth of this year.

Cadence Design Systems Allegro and OrCAD PCB Design Release 16.3

Cadence Design Systems introduced version 16.3 of the Allegro and OrCAD printed circuit board (PCB) software. The lates release includes new features and functionality designed to boost productivity and performance for PCB engineers. The Allegro and OrCAD PCB Design Release 16.3 offer PCB engineers the ability to miniaturize the footprint of end product and reduce the number of physical prototype iterations, making the design cycle more predictable. The Allegro and OrCAD PCB Design Release 16.3 will be available for download in early December 2009.
