Mentor Graphics introduced the Embedded Hypervisor tool for in-vehicle infotainment (IVI) systems, telematics, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS) and instrumentation. The Mentor Embedded Hypervisor is a small footprint Type 1 hypervisor developed specifically for embedded applications and intelligent connected devices. The Mentor Embedded Hypervisor product will ship in December 2013.
Mentor Graphics introduced hardware and software solutions to accelerate the verification of High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) version 2.0 products. Mentor verification solutions enable designers to test the HDMI 2.0 devices integrated on their System-on-Chip (SoC) designs, and develop and stress-test their software and hardware with billions of verification cycles before silicon is available. The solutions are available for deployment at customer sites effective immediately.
Mentor Graphics introduced a new verion of FloEFD concurrent computational fluid dynamics tool. The new FloEFD features Monte-Carlo radiation modeling for thermo-optical performance and multicore meshing of complex geometries that speeds simulation magnitude faster. The Mentor CFD tool with Monte-Carlo modeling and multicore meshing enhancements is available for now.

Mentor Graphics has developed MIPI-protocol verification IP for their latest-generation Veloce hardware emulation platform. The Mentor MIPI VIP solution enables engineers to exhaustively stress test a device-under-test (DUT) that includes one or more MIPI protocol interfaces on their SoC, and run verification cycles at orders of magnitude faster than simulation.
Mentor Graphics has added cache coherent interconnect subsystem verification to the Questa and Veloce platforms. ARM AMBA 5 CHI and AMBA 4 ACE specifications enable high performance, coherent SoC design functionality to be at the heart of the Questa and Veloce platforms. The Questa and Veloce platform AMBA 4 ACE verification solutions are available now. The AMBA 5 CHI verification solutions are available to approved ARM AMBA 5 CHI licensees.

The software automatically generates detailed harness manufacturing process and cost data that is specific to each harness design, each factory and each company’s cost models. Capital Harness TVM helps harness manufacturers win business profitably, and is also a platform for other activities such as value engineering and process optimization.
Mentor Graphics introduced a comprehensive IP to System, UPF-based low-power verification flow. Mentor now has platform-level support of Unified Power Format in both the Questa functional verification platform and the Veloce family of hardware emulators that lets users create a single specification for power intent that is reusable and consistent, and facilitates low-power verification across simulation, formal and emulation.
Mentor Graphics introduced iSolve SAS and SAS transaction-based verification IP (VIP) solution. iSolve SAS is a plug-and-play hardware interface to the Veloce family of hardware emulators. The VIP solution delivers both a simulation environment, using the Questa verification platform, and accelerated simulation environment using the Veloce hardware for the verification of SAS Gen2-compliant devices. Both solutions are available now for deployment at customer sites.
Mentor Graphics recently launched their new Nucleus SmartFit product. Nucleus SmartFit is a value-based development platform for developers that are migrating from bare metal to an RTOS environment where embedded devices require intelligence, connectivity, and low-power functionality. Pricing for the Mentor Nucleus SmartFit starts at $3,995. Devices supported by the Nucleus SmartFit product include Freescale Kinetis, and Texas Instruments’ Stellaris.
