National Instruments introduced LabWindows/CVI 2009, which is an ANSI C development environment for building reliable test and measurement solutions. The new features in LabWindows/CVI 2009 build on the software development platform with support for new PC technologies, such as Microsoft Windows 7 and 64-bit operating system development and deployment. In addition, the latest version introduces new tools for run-time analysis and easier user interface design to help create more reliable applications in a shorter amount of time.
Data Translation introduced the DT8837 high performance Ethernet (LXI) data acquisition instrument module for sound and vibration measurement applications. The DT8837 samples up to four 24-bit IEPE accelerometer input channels independently at up to 52.7kHz per channel or 210kHz total throughput. In addition, the DT8837 offers a 24-bit stimulus output, and a 31-bit synchronized tachometer channel for data streams that are matched in time for field or laboratory use. The DT8837 is priced at $3995 and ships 6-8 weeks ARO.

DASYLab 11 is an easy-to-use data acquisition application that requires no programming. Tektronix introduced the MSO70000 Series of Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes. The instruments have up to 20 channels of measurement capture (4 analog and 16 digital) with analog bandwidth ranging from 4 to 20 GHz and 80 ps digital channel timing resolution.
