ISMI is hosting a series of workshops in their Equipment Productivity Forum. The workshops explore equipment solutions for wafer fabs. The equipment workshops unite suppliers with fab equipment owners to solve equipment issues. Participants give and receive feedback on top equipment issues and benchmark equipment performance metrics, share best-known-methods, and discuss real life maintenance, equipment engineering and parts challenges. The meeting structure protects IP by allowing suppliers to present sensitive information individually to IC manufacturers without other suppliers present.
International SEMATECH Manufacturing Initiative (ISMI) announced the Total Equivalent Energy Calculator II (TEECalc II). The web-based software tracks and evaluates the energy performance of semiconductor manufacturing equipment in order to reduce energy consumption and improve energy efficiency. TEECalc II helps IC and equipment manufacturers identify areas to make critical energy performance improvements to their process equipment and facilities. TEECalc II capabilities have been expanded and improved from TEECalc I. The TEECalc II is available now.
