Rohde & Schwarz announced the new high-end R&S FSW signal and spectrum analyzer. With the R&S FSW, engineers can view multiple measurement applications and analyze signal interactions. The R&S FSW signal and spectrum analyzer is available in three models with frequency ranges of 2 Hz to 8 GHz, 13 GHz or 26.5 GHz. The signal and spectrum analyzer is ideal for development laboratories in the aerospace, defense and communications industries.
AWR and Rohde & Schwarz will host a webinar about low noise amplifier (LNA). The webcast is titled, LNA Design and Characterization Using Modern RF/Microwave Software and Test & Measurement Instruments. The online seminar will feature live video segments demonstrating the use of test instruments performing measurements on a prototype low noise amplifier (LNA). Microwave Office will be used to demonstrate useful practices in the virtual prototyping stage. An actual LNA will be measured using a ZVA (Rohde & Schwarz’s Vector Network Analyzer). The event will take place Tuesday, March 8, 2011 at 9 am PST.
Tektronix introduced the FCA3000 and FCA3100 Series of timer/counter/analyzers and the MCA3000 Series of microwave counter/analyzers. Instruments such as the FCA and MCA Series are used for measurement and analysis of frequency, time or phase signal parameters in design, production, calibration labs or in field applications such as radar equipment monitoring and test. The FCA3000/3100 and MCA3000 Series are available now. Prices start at $2,450 U.S. MSRP and includes the Limited Tektronix Edition of LabVIEW SignalExpress from National Instruments and a trial version of TimeView modulation domain analysis software. All models are backed by a 3-year warranty.
Signal Forge introduced the SF010 Portable Signal Generator with remote control. The new portable signal generator is designed for use with National Instruments LabView and other automated test environments. The SF1010 Portable Signal Generator supports the SCPI (Standard Commands for Programmable Instruments) interface, which helps test engineers to quickly add the signal generator to most of automated test environments (including Labview, LabWindows/CVI and HP’s VEE). The Signal Forge 1010 Portable Signal Generator with remote control is priced at $985 and is available now.
Tektronix introduced the MSO70000 Series of Mixed Signal Oscilloscopes. The instruments have up to 20 channels of measurement capture (4 analog and 16 digital) with analog bandwidth ranging from 4 to 20 GHz and 80 ps digital channel timing resolution. The MSO70000 Series combines the signal visibility and timing features of a high performance logic analyzer with the analog precision, probing and usability of a high performance real-time oscilloscope. The instruments are ideal for the debugging and verification of demanding high-speed design applications as DDR memory, high performance ASICs, FPGAs, system-on-a-chip devices, and digital RF. In addition, the MSO70000 delivers the widest variety of probing accessories for making both analog and digital connections to the device under test (DUT) with minimal disruption.
