Silicon Laboratories released their Class D ToolStick evaluation kit. The evaluation kit enables developers to add digital Class D audio capabilities to 32-bit embedded designs based on Silicon Labs’ feature-rich SiM3U1xx Precision32 microcontrollers (MCUs). The Class D ToolStick evaluation kit includes full source code and implements a Class D amplifier demonstration using a small-footprint 40-pin 6 mm x 6 mm package SiM3U1xx MCU. The USB-based kit is available now. It is priced at $35.
Texas Instruments introduced the Stellaris LM4F120 LaunchPad evaluation kit. The TI Stellaris LaunchPad helps engineers, hobbyists and students explore ARM Cortex-M4F microcontrollers and TI’s Stellaris family of microcontrollers. In addition, the functionality of the Stellaris LaunchPad can be expanded with BoosterPacks. The Stellaris EK-LM4F120XL LaunchPad evaluation kit is available now for the promotional price of $4.99.
Microsemi and TRINAMIC teamed together on the SmartFusion Dual Motor Control Kit. The motor control kit features the Microsemi SmartFusion evaluation kit and TRINAMIC motor control daughter board kit. The bundles solution also includes stepper motor with 1.8 degree step angle, brushless DC motor with Hall sensors, portable desktop power supply (24V/1A) with international plugs, and example designs. The solution enables designers to lower product-development costs and bring products to market quickly. The SmartFusion Dual Motor Control Kit is available for now. Atmel and element14 teamed together on the AT91SAM9G45-EVK evaluation kit. The SAM9 development kit includes an evaluation board based on the Atmel’s new processor AT91SAM9G45. The board features 128 Mbytes DDR2 memory, 256 Mbytes SLC NAND Flash, USB host/device port, Ethernet 10/100 interface, two high-speed SD/MMC slots and a QVGA 320×240 LCD panel with resistive touch screen. The board supports Linux, WinCE and Android OS. In addition to the board, the Atmel element14 kit includes TFT LCD panel (4.3″ QVGA 480×272 resistive touch screen), 20 pins-10 pins JTAG converter, power adapter, and various cables.
Cymbet introduced the CBC-EVAL-11 EnerChip RF Induction Charger evaluation kit. This eval kit enables electronics designers to experiment with near field RF (Radio Frequency) charging of EnerChip CC rechargeable solid state energy storage devices. The EVAL-11 kit includes an RF charging transmitter board, a USB cable to power the transmitter board from a PC, and an EnerChip CC CBC3150-based receiver board.
