Energy Micro released the EFM32G-DK3550 development kit for their EFM32 Gecko microcontroller family. The new development kit includes full SEGGER J-Trace and J-Link support. This reduces the need for additional debugging tools. The EFM32-DK3550 is available now. Prices start at $309. Energy Micro’s Gecko microcontroller family consists of over 240 variants based on the ARM Cortex-M processor cores.
Energy Micro announced energyAware Designer. The free software tool helps engineers with the time-consuming problem of debugging I/O pin conflicts. energyAware Designer ensures correct pin configuration and automatically generates set-up code and documentation. EnergyAware Designer simplifies MCU configuration and documentation, and lets engineers concentrate on developing the application.
Energy Micro announced the energyAware Profiler energy debugging tool for their 32-bit ARM Cortex-M3-based microcontroller kits. The energyAware Profiler tool reads the kits’ Advanced Energy Monitoring (AEM) system data and enables simple graphical visualization and optimization of application energy consumption and code. The energyAware Profiler Windows software is available as a free download.
Energy Micro introduced a development kit for their EFM32 Gecko MCU family. The EFM32 Gecko Development Kit is an Advanced Energy Monitoring (AEM) system for engineers. Thanks to a large in-built LCD screen and preconfigured GUI, AEM enables developers to accurately view a prototype application’s current consumption data in real time, enabling early identification and removal of adverse energy drains. The EFM32 Gecko development kit is priced at $299 USD.
