Extreme Engineering Solutions CX-DP COM Express Development Platform

Extreme Engineering Solutions introduced the CX-DP COM Express Development Platform for the development and rapid prototyping of COM Express and XPand6000 Series-based systems. The CX-DP includes all of the functionality of the XPand6000 series, including support for a COM Express module, a PMC or XMC, and a SSD. The X-ES CX-DP makes the transition from development to the target XPand6000 Series system or custom COM Express carrier card easy.

Digilent chipKIT Uno32 and Max32 Development Platform

Microchip Technology introduced the chipKIT open-source development platform. The chipKIT platform is compatible with Arduino hardware and software. The 32-bit-microcontroller-based platform enables hobbyists and academics to easily and inexpensively, integrate electronics into projects, even if they do not have a background in electronics engineering. The platform consists of the chipKIT Uno32 development board (clone of the Arduino Uno board) and the chipKIT Max32 (clone of the Arduino Mega board). chipKIT platform was designed and manufactured by Digilent.

Mentor Graphics introduced their unified embedded software debugging platform. The common platform enables embedded software developers to access technology data from hardware design tools without leaving their native embedded software environment. The platform integrates Mentor Embedded Sourcery CodeBench embedded software development tools with Mentor’s electronic system level, verification, and hardware emulation products.

EZ MC Motor Control Development Platform

The EZ MC Motor Control Development Platform, by Boston Engineering, is a rapid prototyping kit for designing and optimizing motor control systems. The Blackfin-based development platform enables rapid deployment of advanced control algorithms that maximize the efficiency of permanent magnet synchronous and ac induction motors. The development platform includes hardware and software to start designing out of the box using the included motor with different kinds of controllers. The motor control development platform will be available in November, 2011.
