SynaptiCAD V2V Translators Feature Verilog 2001 Support, Graphical Debugger

SynaptiCAD rolled out a new version of their V2V translator software. The SynaptiCAD V2V tools translate between VHDL and Verilog source code that supports Verilog 2001 code constructs. SynaptiCAD also announced that their BugHunter Pro can now be used as a graphical debugging environment for translating and testing the new models.

PLS Universal Debug Engine 3.0.7 Supports NXP LPC4300

PLS Programmierbare Logik & Systeme recently announced version 3.0.7 of their Universal Debug Engine (UDE). UDE 3.0.7 features optimized test and debug functions for the NXP LPC4300 dual-core system-on-chip (SoC) family and offers unlimited dual-core debugging under a single user interface. The LPC4300 features an asymmetrical dual-core digital signal controller (DSC) architecture and two processors (ARM Cortex-M4 and Cortex-M0). The two processors operate with their own clock supply and their own power management, but the communication takes place via a shared memory.

ZeBu Features Combinational Signal Access

EVE has enhanced the design debugging capabilities of their ZeBu (for Zero Bugs) emulation platform. ZeBu now features Combinational Signal Access (CSA), which enables engineers to dynamically generate complete waveforms of designs. Combinational Signal Access improves productivity and lowers the cost of ownership. CSA comes as a standard component to the ZeBu family. It is available now and, initially, works with zFast, ZeBu Fast Synthesis used with ZeBu emulation systems.

UDE 3.0 features unique visualization capabilities, an enhanced Eclipse integration and extensive dedicated support for a wide range of high-end microcontroller architectures. Universal Debug Engine 3.0 is available for all 32-bit and 64-bit versions from Windows XP to Windows 7. The tool can be integrated at no extra cost in Eclipse environments based on Ganymede 3.4.x, Galileo 3.5.x and Helios 3.6 with the appropriate C/C++-IDE (CDT 5.0.x,6.0,7.0).

SynaptiCAD BugHunter Pro VHDL and Verilog Testbench, Debugging Tool

SynaptiCAD rolled out the latest version of BugHunter Pro, which is a VHDL and Verilog testbench generation and debugging tool. The updated version of BugHunter Pro supports 64-bit versions of Mentor Graphics ModelSim and Cadence Incisive simulators. A node-locked license for BugHunter sells for $2500 on Windows. Floating licenses sell for $5000 on Windows and $6000 on Unix. A node locked copy of the WaveFormer/BugHunter product bundle sells for $4000 on Windows.
