Cypress ARM Cortex-M3 / PSoC 5 Design Challenge

Cypress Semiconductor, EE Times and ARM are currently holding the ARM Cortex M3 / PSoC 5 Design Challenge. Over $10,000 in cash and prizes will be awarded throughout the contest. Three winners will be selected based on creativity, design efficiency, usefulness, video cleverness, and track specific criteria: use of analog resources, digital resources and PSoC Creator Component. An additional winner will be selected by a vote of the members. From these four $1000 winners, a grand prize winner will be chosen by the Jjudges and awarded an additional $2500 prize.

Cypress PSoC Expansion Board Kit for iPhone and iPod Accessories

Cypress Semiconductor announced the CY8CKIT-023 PSoC Expansion Board Kit For iPhone & iPod Accessories. The CY8CKIT-023 is a development platform for Apple iPhone and iPod accessories based on the PSoC 3 architecture. The Cypress kit leverages the Apple iPhone OS operating system and the corresponding iPhone SDK (Software Development Kit) to provide a two-way communication interface between apps from Apple’s App Store and corresponding accessories. The CY8CKIT-023 PSoC Expansion Board Kit For iPhone & iPod Accessories is now available to Made for iPod licensees.

Cypress Semiconductor Solutions IP for PSoC 3 Architectures

Cypress Semiconductor rolled out over 30 intellectual property (IP) elements for the new PSoC 3 programmable system-on-chip architectures. The embedded design resources include example projects, application notes, and solution overviews. The resources enable engineers to quickly implement designs using the unique new PSoC Creator integrated development environment (IDE). The solution IP Elements are available for free online.
