Cortus APS5 microcontroller IP core

Cortus announced their APS5 embedded microcontroller. The Cortus APS5 is a 32-bit general purpose CPU. The processor IP is designed for demanding embedded systems. It features a high performance integer unit and an instruction cache. The APS5 can be implemented in dual- or quad-core configurations or be used in a heterogeneous system with APS3R.

Corelis ScanExpress Boundary-Scan Tool Suite CD Version 7.6

Corelis rolled out version 7.6 of their ScanExpress Boundary-Scan Tool Suite. The new Version 7.6 CD is the first test tool to include JTAG embedded test (JET) support for AMD Family 10 processors. As a result, ScanExpress v7.6 can perform processor emulation-based testing on AMD ASB2 (BGA), Opteron 4100, and Quad-Core Opteron CPUs. The new Version 7.6 CD is available now.

IDC Worldwide PC Microprocessor 3Q10 Stats

According to International Data Corporation (IDC), worldwide PC microprocessor unit shipments and revenues in the third calendar quarter of 2010 (3Q10) increased 2.1% and 2.5%, respectively, compared to 2Q10. Worldwide PC microprocessor unit shipments and revenues in the third calendar quarter of 2010 (3Q10) increased 8.6% and 24.1%, respectively, compared to the third quarter of 2009. The findings were published in IDC’s latest PC processor study, Worldwide PC Microprocessor 3Q10 Vendor Shares.

Evatronix 65C02 Microprocessor IP Core

The Evatronix C65C02 IP core is a 65C02 compatible microprocessor IP core that complies with the original 6502 Instruction Set Architecture by MOS Technology. The C65C02 is a fast 8-bit microprocessor IP that implements the same instruction set as the 65C02 microprocessor chip, which is an upgraded version of the NMOS-based MOS Technology 6502 8-bit CPU. The Evatronix C65C02 IP core is available for licensing now. The core includes synthesis and simulation support scripts for most environments, Verilog or VHDL test bench, and a reference design for the proprietary evaluation board.
