Synopsys Lynx Foundry Ready System for Common Platform

Synopsys introduced a system-on-chip (SoC) design solution optimized for the Common Platform alliance (CPA) 28-nanometer(nm) high-k metal gate (HKMG) technology. The Synopsys Lynx Foundry Ready System for the CPA 28nm LP will be available this quarter. The Lynx Foundry Ready system for CPA 32nm LP, CPA 32nm and 28nm LP foundry reference flows based upon the Galaxy Implementation Platform and front-end views for the CPA 32nm and 28nm LP Synopsys DesignWare PHY IP are available now.

Magma Reference Flow for Common Platform 32/28nm Low-Power Process

Magma Design Automation introduced a hierarchical reference flow for the Common Platform alliance’s 32/28-nanometer (nm) low-power process technology. The RTL-to-GDSII reference flow enables designers to reduce power, turnaround time and cost per die. The RTL-to-GDSII reference flow features the Talus IC implementation system’s power optimization and management capabilities, the latest ARM Artisan 32/28-nm LP process libraries and the Common Platform alliance’s 32/28-nm process technology.

Vertically Optimized 32/28nm Solution for Mobile SoC Design

Synopsys will take part in a technical session and breakfast at ARM TechCon3. ARM, the Common Platform (IBM, Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing ,and Samsung Electronics) alliance, and Synopsys will discuss the new level of collaboration necessary to address the cost and technical challenges associated with advanced mobile SoC design and manufacturing. The event will take place Wednesday, October 21st, 8:30am – 10:30am at the Santa Clara Convention Center (Ballroom H).
