AWR and Zuken launched AWR Connected for Zuken. The RF verification flow provides a pathway from Zuken’s CR-8000 Design Force PCB design software into AWR’s Microwave Office high-frequency simulation software. AWR Connected for Zuken is available now from AWR. CR-8000 Design Force PCB design suite is available from Zuken.
AWR and Optenni recently teamed on AWR Connected for Optenni Lab. The new workflow helps antenna designers to easily use best-of-class tools for the design and analysis of matching circuits. The integrated workflow with AWR Microwave Office is implemented in Optenni Lab version 1.4 SP3, which is available now.
AWR published an application note, High-Speed Serial Backplane – SERDES Design Example. The paper discusses the advantages of AWR Connected for Anritsu VectorStar for designing high-speed serial backplanes. AWR’s Microwave Office software is resident in the Anritsu VectorStar VNA. High-frequency design tools resident on a Vector Network Analyzer (VNA) provides a streamlined work flow that eliminates the time required to transfer measured data to a simulator running on a separate PC or workstation.
AWR Connected for ODB++ is a PCB layout verification design flow for connecting third party PCB tools and AWR software (Microwave Office RF/microwave circuit simulation and AXIEM electromagnetic analysis software). It enables the flow of PCB layout data (exported from vendor tools in ODB++ format) into AWR’s Microwave Office / AXIEM software for post-layout, final design-stage verification. The ODB++ PCB flow moves layout data from an engineer’s PCB vendor tool into a relevant and independent file format ready for use and import into AWR software.
