Avnet’s Dog Days of Summer Contest – win an iPad 2

Avnet Electronics Marketing Americas is holding a contest. They are giving away four Apple iPad 2 tablets in their Dog Days of Summer video contest. To enter their contest, design engineers and hobbyists only need to upload a short video (less than 90 seconds) to YouTube. However, the video must be of a design they have created using products available on Avnet’s line card. The deadline to enter Avnet’s Dog Days of Summer video contest is September 16, 2011.

Magma Titan Up Program for Analog Designers, Win an Apple iTouch

Magma Design Automation announced their Titan Up! program to help analog designers learn the latest technologies for analog and mixed-signal design. Current and prospective Magma customers can take a quiz to enter a drawing for an Apple iTouch. Cypress Semiconductor announced the CY8CKIT-023 PSoC Expansion Board Kit For iPhone & iPod Accessories. The CY8CKIT-023 is a development platform for Apple iPhone and iPod accessories based on the PSoC 3 architecture. The Cypress kit leverages the Apple iPhone OS operating system and the corresponding iPhone SDK (Software Development Kit) to provide a two-way communication interface between apps from Apple’s App Store and corresponding accessories. Microchip Development Platforms for iPod and iPhone

Microchip Technology introduced three development kits for the rapid design of accessories for iPod and iPhone using Microchip’s PIC microcontrollers. The kits provide examples of the hardware and software required to implement applications, such as digital-audio sound systems, docking stations and a multitude of new accessories that can leverage the infrastructure for iPod and iPhone.
