Cadence Design Systems released version 16.6 of their Allegro Package Designer and System-in-Package (SiP) Layout solution. Allegro now enables engineers to analyze and validate high-performance, low-power devices for electrical compliance. This improves design time and speeds time to market. New enhancements in Cadence Allegro enable a more predictable and efficient design cycle. Cadence Allegro release 16.6 IC package solution is expected to be available in the fourth quarter of this year.
Cadence Design Systems launched version 16.6 of their Allegro printed circuit board technology. The PCB tool is the first electrical CAD (ECAD) team collaboration environment for PCB design using Microsoft SharePoint technology. Cadence Allegro, integrated with SharePoint, improves team collaboration, design creation and control, and significant productivity improvements. Allegro v16.6 will be available in the fourth quarter of this year.
Cadence Design Systems announced version 16.5 of their Allegro PCB and IC packaging technology. Allegro v16.5 features advanced miniaturization capabilities, integrated power delivery network analysis, DDR3 design-in kit, improved co-design, and flexible team-design enablement. The new features and capabilities improve the path to co-design and analysis between engineers involved in Silicon, SoC, and System Realization. Cadence Allegro 16.5 will be available in late May. Allegro 16.5 technology will also be available through product configuration with on-demand features for specific design tasks.
Cadence Design Systems introduced version 16.3 of the Allegro and OrCAD printed circuit board (PCB) software. The lates release includes new features and functionality designed to boost productivity and performance for PCB engineers. The Allegro and OrCAD PCB Design Release 16.3 offer PCB engineers the ability to miniaturize the footprint of end product and reduce the number of physical prototype iterations, making the design cycle more predictable. The Allegro and OrCAD PCB Design Release 16.3 will be available for download in early December 2009.
