The white paper describes the development and lifetime tests of ceramic encapsulated actuators under different operating conditions (DC and AC). The actuators are compared to polymer coated piezo ceramic actuators in long term tests. Equations and graphs for lifetime calculation under different operational and environmental conditions and special internal electrode designs for stress reduction are discussed.

The library is a collection of high-level functions and blocks enabling the control of the Technosoft intelligent drives from a B&R PLC. It works with B&R’s Automation Studio v3.0 SP3. With TML_LIB functions, designers can control Technosoft drives individually or grouped, by sending commands for simple (TS_MoveAbsolute), complex (TS_SetPVT, TS_PVTPoint, etc.) or synchronized (TS_GearIn) moves. The TML_LIB_X20 is an ideal tool for a quick implementation on a B&R PLC of motion control applications with Technosoft products.

The OPC Training Institute will develop customized OPC training for Honeywell based on Experion PKS. The course is ideal for Honeywell engineers, end-users, EPC contractors, and system integrators. The class will equip attendees with an understanding of OPC technology and planning, designing and implementing secure and reliable OPC interface to Experion PKS Systems. The training will be held at Honeywell’s Automation College locations globally. OPC is a global industrial connectivity standard that enables process control and manufacturing applications to communicate with each other using an interoperable, reliable, and secure connection.
