Mentor Embedded Sourcery VSIPL++ tool ~ Mentor Graphics

Mentor Graphics released a new version of the Mentor Embedded Sourcery VSIPL++ tool. The newest enhancements to the Sourcery VSIPL++ product incorporates OMG’s VSIPL++ specification standard. VSIPL++ is an important step forward for interoperable, portable, reusable applications in the high-performance computing space. The tool is ideal for developers working on compute-intensive applications.

Mentor Embedded Sourcery VSIPL++ includes support for ARM v7 Cortex A with NEON single instruction, multiple data (SIMD) processing platforms, and an interface to MATLAB for signal and image processing algorithm conversion. The MATLAB interface enables designers to easily convert algorithm models into VSIPL++ compliant C++ code and to verify the correct function of the deployed code on a specific target system.

The Sourcery VSIPL++ tool is an open standard, high-level C++ image and signal processing library for high performance computing (HPC) applications. The Mentor product enables engineers to express algorithms in high-level C++ code, to improve application speed performance and software development productivity for signal and image processing algorithms used in embedded systems while simultaneously ensuring application portability across a wide variety of compute platforms.

Mentor Embedded Sourcery VSIPL++ tool is ideal for radar for military-aerospace, medical diagnostic imaging, and computer vision applications for industrial control and automotive markets.
