Atollic TrueSTUDIO for ARM v3.2

Atollic introduced TrueSTUDIO for ARM v3.2. The integrated development environment for embedded microcontroller designs now offers RTOS-aware debug support for real-time operating systems like FreeRTOS, OpenRTOS, ThreadX and embOS. The ARM development tool is an integrated C/C++ solution with features for multicore debugging, improved code quality, team collaboration and increased developer efficiency. Atollic TrueSTUDIO v3.2 helps engineers to quickly develop embedded systems with higher quality and at lower cost.

Atollic TrueSTUDIO v3.2 also includes an integrated interface to the Micrium uC/Probe tool that provides RTOS-aware debugging for the uC/OS-III RTOS. RTOS-aware debugging eases the task of debugging a RTOS-based embedded development. It achieves this by presenting the software engineer with an insight to the RTOS status, such as message queues and tasks along with other information that will help them to have a better understanding of how their application is being handled within the RTOS.

The latest version of TrueSTUDIO supports over 200 new target devices. Some of these new supported devices include the new STMicroelectronics STM32F3 family, Freescale Kinetis L series, ARM Cortex-A class application processors and many new Fujitsu microcontrollers. In addition support has been added for a number of new evaluation and development boards including the Freescale Freedom range and those for the STMicroelectronics STM32 microcontroller series. In total, Atollic TrueSTUDIO v3.2 now supports more than 1,000 ARM-based microcontrollers and over 70 evaluation boards.

Atollic TrueSTUDIO v3.2 also features an integrated GUI client for the Git version control system has also been added.

Atollic TrueSTUDIO is a development and debugging tool with an editor, an optimizing C/C++ compiler and a multiprocessor-aware debugger with real-time tracing. The tool suite offers advanced features including ARM build and debug tools and Serial Wire Viewer (SWV) tracing. Also available to ARM developers are Atollic’s professional code-quality analysis and test-automation toolbox.
