Analog Devices to Host Powering Your Circuit Webinar

Analog Devices is offering a webinar (Powering Your Circuit) next week. The one hour webcast will take place Wednesday, July 13th, at 2:00 pm EDT. The online seminar will focus on power supply design. The ADI webcast is intended for both engineers new to the field, and experienced engineers looking for a refresher course on power system design and component selection.

The webinar will explore power supply operation, including the different types of power supplies, various conversion methods, how power supplies affect the signal chain and how to select the best regulator for your circuit. This webcast will additionally explain phenomenon such as noise, ripple, line and load regulation, power-supply rejection ratio, the effects of temperature change and other specifications that affect power supply performance.

The online seminar will be presented by Andy Jenkins. He works at ADI in the Power Management Products Division working on Marketing, Applications, and Marcom projects. Andy has a B.Sc. Degree in Electronics from Southampton University in the UK. He has authored and presented several technical papers and seminars, and holds two US patents.

Powering Your Circuit Overview

This month we will cover the important — but often overlooked subject — of Power Supply design. What is important about a power supply and how does it work? What are the different types of power supply and what conversion methods are used? How can a power supply affect the signal chain and how do you select the best regulator for your circuit? This webcast will also explain noise, ripple, line and load regulation, power supply rejection ratio, the effects of temperature change and other specifications that impact power supply performance.
