Safety-Critical Software Design for Avionics Systems Webinar

DDC-I will host a webinar on safety-critical DO-178B-compliant software design and the emerging DO-178C standard. The webcast will take place October 20, 2010 at 2pm EDT. The online seminar is ideal for software engineers and engineering managers interested in learning about developing and certifying safety-critical avionics software in compliance with DO-178B and DO-178C. It is also ideal for systems engineers interested in learning about the interface between systems and software in a safety-critical environment.

The webinar, Airborne! A Practitioner’s Guide to DO-178B, Certification and the Emerging DO-178C Standard, will highlight the processes, procedures and tools used to achieve avionics certification on the latest civil airliners. DDC-I and LDRA will use practical examples and provide technical tips and techniques for developing safety-critical avionics software in compliance with DO-178B, up to and including Level A design assurance. The webcast will focus on traceability, independence criteria, testing and structural coverage analysis.

DO-178 Webinar

Covering technical tips and techniques for developing safety-critical avionics software in compliance with DO-178B (up to, and including, Level A design assurance), the webinar features industry experts who will highlight the processes, procedures and tools used to achieve avionics certification on the latest civil airliners. DDC-I and LDRA will share their joint experiences in achieving successful avionics certification. The webinar will also discuss how DO-178C is expected to build on the foundation of DO-178B to assist in the next generation of certification.
