Avnet Electronics Marketing introduced an On-Ramp Technical Session that features the TMS320DM365 DaVinci video system-on-chip (SoC) from Texas Instruments (TI). The TI TMS320DM365 DaVinci is a single-chip ARM processor capable of capturing, encoding, decoding and displaying high definition (HD) video. The DM365 DaVinci On-Ramp session is available free of charge in North America upon request.

On-Ramp topics include product roadmap, technical overview, system solutions, development tools and reference designs.
The demo for the On-Ramp uses the DM365 digital video evaluation module (DVEVM) and new 7″ WVGA display kit developed by Avnet.
The TI DM365 is a single-chip ARM processor capable of capturing, encoding, decoding, and displaying HD video. With its built-in video processing hardware, the DM365 offers flexibility without the complexity for multi-format, multi-streaming encode and decode of video. The video system-on-chip supports H.264, MPEG, MJPEG, MPEG2, and VC1 (decode only).
