802.3at Power Over Ethernet for Embedded Hardware Teardown Webinar

Posted by Ken Cheung in Events, Training on Tuesday, February 9, 2010

ADI Engineering is offering a new quarterly technical webinar series for embedded systems device developers. The first webinar will present a hardware teardown of the new 802.3at PoE+ standard. It will take March 2nd. ADI Engineering will give away a Apple iPad at the webinar (must be present to win).

ADI’s first webinar will present a hardware teardown of the newly ratified 802.3at Power Over Ethernet (PoE+) standard. The webcast will explain how to use PoE+ to give next-generation embedded products substantial competitive advantages in cost, energy efficiency, and reliability over conventional powering techniques.

With a new 25-watt power budget and enhanced management capabilities, 802.3at has finally moved PoE technology beyond IP phones and Wi-Fi access points into the mainstream of embedded applications. Now, embedded systems developers can create “no new wires” PoE+ embedded devices including large HD video displays, cameras, speakers, mass storage and other peripherals.

The online seminar will benefit embedded hardware developers, engineering managers, systems engineers, and product managers.
