Synopsys DesignWare IP for HDMI Interface

Synopsys rolled out silicon-proven High-Definition Multimedia Interface (HDMI) transmitter and receiver digital controllers and PHY IP solutions as part of their DesignWare IP portfolio. Synopsys’ DesignWare IP for the HDMI interface is compliant to the standard specification and supports High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP). The IP is available in leading process technologies from 90nm down to 40nm, and includes sample software drivers for system development. The DesignWare HDMI 1.3 Transmit and Receive Controllers and PHY IP are available now in leading 90nm, 65nm, 45nm, and 40nm process technologies. The DesignWare HDMI 1.4 IP solution is currently in development and anticipated to be available at the end of 2009.

The DesignWare HDMI TX and RX IP solutions are silicon-proven and include a suite of configurable digital controllers and high-speed mixed signal PHY IP, thus providing a comprehensive solution from a single IP vendor. Synopsys lowers integration risk by ensuring that all the IP functions work seamlessly together. Synopsys DesignWare IP for HDMI provides designers with a high performance IP solution that is extremely low in power and area. The DesignWare IP for HDMI is fully compliant to HDMI 1.3 specification and has gone through extensive in-house and third-party interoperability testing.
