QA&TEST Conference on QA and Testing Software for Embedded Systems

QA&TEST International Conference on QA and Testing Software for Embedded Systems will take place October 21-23 in Bilbao, Spain. QA&TEST will offer two tutorials, three keynotes, and twenty presentations. The conference will featurs experts in Testing and QA Software — like Mary Poppendieck, Dr. Bruce Douglass (IBM), and Guillaume Brat (NASA).

Dr. Bruce Douglass, Chief Evangelist for IBM, will give the opening keynote of QA&TEST. Dr. Douglass has more than 30 years of experience designing safety-critical real-time applications in a variety of hard real-time environments. He has designed and taught courses in object-orientation, real-time and safety-critical systems development. Dr. Douglass has written over a hundred magazine articles and is a well-known author of technical books, like Real Time UML Workshop for Embedded Systems and Real-Time Agility: The Harmony/ESW Method for Real-Time and Embedded Systems Development.

The second keynote of conference will be given by Miss Mary Poppendieck, international expert in agile software. Poppendieck has many years of experience in software development, and she is a specialist in managing software projects. She wrote the award-winning book Lean Software Development: An Agile Toolkit to explain how the lean principles from manufacturing offer a better approach to software development. In 2006, she published a second book based on her on-going learning: Implementing Lean Software Development: From Concept to Cash.

Mr. Hung Q. Nguyen, responsible for the strategic direction and executive business management of Logigear, will be in charge of the third keynote of the Conference. Mr. Nguyen leads the company’s approach to software testing, test automation, testing tool solutions and testing education programs. Mr. Nguyen is coauthor of the top-selling book in the software testing field, Testing Computer Software and other publications including Testing Applications on the Web.
