EDA and high performance computing (HPC) in the cloud experts will conduct a workshop. The event will provide training and best practices for users of HPC clusters. The free Cluster Migration Workshop will take place July 27th from 12 pm to 2 pm. Experts from Sun Microsystems, eXludus and Univa UD will lead the lunchtime session. The workshop is ideal for design engineers, HPC infrastructure owners, and IT decision makers.
The HPC migration workshop will provide participants with access to tools and knowledge about upgrading from commercial cluster schedulers such as Platform LSF to a more cost-effective and complete environment. The workshop includes a detailed discussion of the differences between schedulers, a look at the benefits of core optimization, how to efficiently manage the migration, and how migrating puts organizations in a better position to leverage both private and public cloud computing.
