OMG UML Futures Roadmap Workshop
OMG issued a call for participation in the UML Futures Roadmap Workshop. Anyone who has or plans to respond to the request for information (RFI) on the future development of UML is invited to participate. Responses to the RFI are due on August 17, 2009. The workshop to discuss these responses will be held immediately preceding the OMG Technical Meeting in San Antonio, TX on Sunday, September 13, 2009.
Interested participants who have not already responded to the RFI are invited to submit a detailed, one-page description of their proposed UML Futures presentation to request a time slot in the workshop. Individuals or organizations that have already responded to the RFI should reference their RFI response and request a presentation slot. RFI respondents are welcome and encouraged to expand on their original responses. Demonstrations are encouraged.
The workshop will be a working event. The purpose of this workshop is to provide a forum for RFI responders and other interested parties to discuss and present their views on the future of UML. At the end of the workshop, a document capturing the major points of agreement on the direction of UML will be created to help guide OMG’s Analysis and Design Task Force in future UML development efforts.
