Enea® (Nordic Exchange/Small Cap/ENEA), Kontron, Surf Communications, and Tail-f Systems are offering a series of seminars on new technology and system integration for next-generation, always-on COTS network equipment. The half-day seminars will examine key open platform technologies such as ATCA, middleware, multicore, and media processing, with an emphasis on how to get the pieces to work together, reduce integration risk, and accelerate application development.
Application Acceleration seminars will begin with an 8:30 breakfast and feature presentations by Enea, Kontron, Tail-f Systems and Surf Communications. The seminars will also feature demos, hands-on training, an exciting panel session on managing integration risk plus Q & A. The seminar will conclude with lunch, which will provide plenty of time for follow up and networking.

Here’s a blurb from their site:
Commercial off the shelf (COTS) hardware and software building blocks have achieved the maturity to be legitimate design alternatives for developers of communications systems. Multi-core processors, AdvancedTCA platforms and standards-based software are the foundation for the next generation always on, IP-based communications services that are changing the way the World connects.
The new question is: Now that COTS is finally a reality – how do you get the pieces to work together? The ability to understand and reduce integration risk is now critical to realizing the benefits to the COTS ecosystem.
Join top engineers and managers at the application accelerator seminar series where industry leaders Enea, Kontron, and Tail-f Systems have teamed up to address the issues surrounding integration and how they pertain to their products. You will receive hands-on training and early innovator insight into the technologies and enable you to focus on what you do best – developing your applications.
