Toshiba Corporation announced the development of a major advance in information security technology: A physical random-number generation circuit that achieves the world’s highest output by area, and that generates random numbers at a data rate of 2.0 megabits a second.

Dialog SmartXtend Enables Use of Passive Matrix OLED Mobile Displays
Dialog Semiconductor Plc (FWB: DLG) has announced its new SmartXtend(TM) technology that will allow the main displays of many mobile devices to utilize passive matrix OLED displays rather than LCD or active matrix OLEDs. Passive matrix OLEDs are available at a much lower cost compared to active matrix OLEDs.

Azingo Debuts Open Mobile Linux Solution for Samsung S3C2442 Processor
Azingo (formerly Celunite) announced an open mobile Linux solution for mobile phones and advanced mobile devices, based on the Samsung application processor S3C2442 and Azingo Mobile. The Azingo/Samsung mobile solution is based on LiMo Foundation software.

(NASDAQ: BELM) and American Portwell Technology, Inc. have entered into a joint agreement whereby Bell Microproducts will distribute American Portwell’s portfolio of embedded computer boards and systems, PICMG single board computers and backplanes, industrial computer chassis and systems and network security rackmount and desktop systems via its sales force.

NVIDIA Selects Sequence Design’s CoolPower Technology
Sequence Design’s CoolPower technology was used by NVIDIA Corporation in the recently announced GeForce 8800 GT design. Advanced CoolPower accelerated chip timing closure was used in the NVIDIA design by utilizing unique top level timing budgeting. Timing and optimization for the GeForce 8800 GT was accomplished within a very compact 128G footprint.
