Lambda Launches iAD Series of Point of Load Converters
Lambda launched the iAD series of non-isolated, single inline package, through-hole mounting devices. Featuring a DOSA compatible pin out, the iAD series addresses a broad range of applications from telecoms through to industrial equipment. With its wide input range from 6 to 14V, the iAD12016A008V is particularly well-suited for powering today's diverse range of loads in a variety of architectures including distributed power, for example regulated 9V or 12V bus rails, and non-regulated 4:1 and 5:1 bus converter systems.

In-Stat Publishes Report on ZigBee
ZigBee, the formal network, security, application-framework, and application-profile layer overlay on top of the 802.15.4 PHY (physical) and MAC (media-access-control) layers used in low-power wireless mesh networks, continues to evolve with its potential still unclear, reports In-Stat. Currently, ZigBee technology targets building automation, industrial, medical, home automation, asset management, HVAC and other monitoring applications, the high-tech market research firm says.

Emerson Rolls Out AD80 78w AC-DC Power Adapter
Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), has further expanded its portfolio of ac-dc power adapters with the launch of a high efficiency 78 watt model. The new AD80 power adapter features a universal 90-264 Vac input - enabling it to be used anywhere in the world - and produces a single, fully regulated 24 V output capable of delivering up to 3.25 A continuously.
