Puget Sound Energy Hires ITTIA to Create Meter Management Solution
Puget Sound Energy (PSE) is a leading energy provider in the United States, supplying natural gas and electric utility services to millions of homes and businesses. When PSE decided to streamline processing of meters and equipment in their repair facilities, they turned to ITTIA. PSE selected ITTIA software and consulting services to design, develop and deliver a new generation of meter management solution that is innovative in the utility industry. PSE is using the ITTIA software at its Kent, Washington location.

e2v Selects EdXact’s Jivaro Netlist Reduction Tool
EdXact SA announced that its Jivaro netlist reduction tool was chosen by e2v, a leading developer and manufacturer of specialised components and subsystems. e2v is using Jivaro to help verifying its next generation high speed A/D converters, which is developed using Jazz Semiconductor’s advanced SiGe BiCMOS 0.18-micron process. The new converter family includes quad-8 bits devices capable of delivering conversion rates from 1.25 Gsps to 5 Gsps from a single chip at 1W per channel.

Xiotech Acquires Advanced Storage Architecture Group from Seagate
Xiotech(R) Corporation announced it has acquired Seagate Technology’s(R) (NYSE: STX) Advanced Storage Architecture (ASA) group. In the acquisition, Xiotech purchased certain assets of the ASA business and acquired a license to the associated technology.

New Features to Drive Cell Phone Chip Market
Cellular handsets, one of the largest product categories of semiconductor consumption in the world, continue to enjoy significant sales growth and add new features, reports In-Stat. In 2007, total revenue from handset semiconductors will exceed $31 billion worldwide, the high-tech market research firm says.
