Intel, Arrow Create Program for Discontinued Embedded Controllers
Arrow Electronics, Inc. (NYSE: ARW) and Intel Corporation have finalized an agreement in which Arrow will provide global supply assurance support for a broad range of embedded controller products recently discontinued by Intel. The supply assurance program was developed in response to the number of customers who were affected by this change in product status.
GaAs p-HEMT RF Switch Vendors Face More Competition
According to a new report on RF switches from Strategy Analytics, internal production by major users has undermined the traditional merchant market for GaAs p-HEMT switches. In this new report, “STRATEGY ANALYTICS: RF Switch Vendors Face Captive Producers and CMOS,” Strategy Analytics notes that RFMD, the largest user of RFIC switches, now produces its own GaAs switch dice for use in power amplifier front-end modules for wireless handsets.
Texas Instruments Rolls Out High-speed Video Multiplexers
Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) introduced three high-speed video multiplexers, combining wide bandwidth, high slew rate, fast switching time, and low switching glitch to optimize performance in professional video applications. High-speed multiplexers are used to switch between multiple sources in applications such as projectors, monitors and routers. Beyond video, the device can also be used in other high-speed signal multiplexing applications.
Samsung EM Unveils 2023 Compliant HD Radio Slave Mode Module
iBiquity Digital Corporation, the developer of digital HD Radio(TM) technology, announced that Samsung EM, a leading Korean consumer electronics manufacturer, is now offering HD Radio Slave Mode Modules that are 2023 compliant. These modules provide a quick path to market for manufacturers of products such as iPod® docks that support iTunes® Tagging for HD Radio technology. The first radios to incorporate the new Samsung EM 2023 module with the iTunes Tagging button are Polk Audio’s I-Sonic® Entertainment System 2 and the JBL iHD. They go on sale in the United States during the holiday shopping season. Samsung EM has two versions of the 2023 module now available to iBiquity licensees: 2023-L (large module) and 2023-S (small module).
LG Innotek HD Radio Module Offers Conditional Access, Store, Replay
