Empower Receives Patent for Pen-based Handwriting Recognition
Empower Technologies Corporation (“Empower”) (TSX.V: EPT) is pleased to announce that the US Patent Office has granted the Company a pen-based (or stylus-based) handwriting recognition method for computing devices. The patent is for an improved system and method for pen-based handwritten and keystroke data input into a computer system (such as a smart phone or a tablet computer with pen/stylus-based handwriting input capability).

MSC Vertriebs Announces ETE-GLX3 ETX Module with Dual SATA Interfaces
The MSC Vertriebs GmbH continues to expand their product range of ETX modules, and in doing so build upon the newest ETX Specification 3.02. Under the product name MSC ETE-GLX3, an enhanced ETX assembly is being introduced to the market that offers additional functions beyond those of the current module ETE-GLX, above all significantly more mass storage interfaces and support for the recently introduced AMD-Processor Geode(TM) LX900 @1.5W.

Altera, TRS-STAR Launch PARIS Platform for Automotive Infotainment
Altera Corporation (NASDAQ: ALTR) and TRS-STAR GmbH announced the PARIS development platform, the industry’s first fully scalable infotainment platform for the automotive market. Featuring an Altera® Stratix® II FPGA, TRS-STAR’s PARIS platform targets automotive multimedia systems used in next-generation car infotainment and telematics systems.
