Micro Magic Introduces MAX-3D True 3D Layout Editor
MAX-3D is the world’s first true 3D-aware layout editor. MAX-3D can combine distinct process wafers, and allows the designer to view, edit and connect the independent wafers into one 3D stack chip. This design technique – known as “Through-Si Via Wafer Stacking” – is a new dimension for chip designs. It allows distinct wafers to be stacked on each other, and connected internally. This results in chips with denser designs and higher performance.

Microchip Announces MCP1725, MCP1825, MCP1826 Low Dropout Regulators
Microchip Technology Inc., a leading provider of microcontroller and analog semiconductors, announced an expansion of its high-current, ceramic output capacitor-stable low dropout regulator (LDO) family. The 500 milliAmpere (mA) MCP1725 and MCP1825, and 1 Ampere (A) MCP1826 (MCP1725/182X) LDOs are available in packages as small as 2 mm x 3 mm DFN and SOT223. The full-featured LDOs offer a wide range of capabilities, such as shutdown, power good and adjustable power-good delay. The devices add to Microchip’s existing portfolio of LDOs, completing its line of low output voltage, high-current LDOs that provide a variety of feature and package options to meet the most challenging design requirements.

Microchip Introduces MCP1631 2.0 MHz, High-speed Pulse Width Modulator
