Spansion Acquires Saifun Semiconductor
Spansion Inc. (Nasdaq: SPSN), the world’s largest pure-play provider of Flash memory solutions and Saifun Semiconductors Ltd. (Nasdaq: SFUN), a provider of intellectual property solutions for the non-volatile memory (NVM) market, announced that they have signed a definitive merger agreement for Spansion Inc. to acquire Saifun Semiconductors Ltd. This transaction consolidates all MirrorBit(R) and NROM IP, design and manufacturing expertise into a single company. As a result, the combination will expand Spansion’s product portfolio, and enable Spansion’s immediate entry into the technology licensing business, significantly expanding Spansion’s market opportunity.

Carnegie Mellon University Selects Quantum3D Thermite TVC, IData HMI
Quantum3D®, Inc., a leading provider of Commercial off-the-Shelf (COTS), open-architecture, realtime visual computing solutions, at the Association of U.S. Army (AUSA) 2007 Annual Conference, announced that the Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) National Robotics Engineering Center has selected the Quantum3D Thermite® Tactical Visual Computer (TVC) and IData® Human-Machine Interface (HMI) Software Tool Suite as key components for the U.S. Marine Corps Gladiator Tactical Unmanned Ground Vehicle (TUGV) Operator Control Unit (OCU).

Emerson Network Power Debuts AIT02ZPFC Power Factor Correction Module
Emerson Network Power, a business of Emerson (NYSE: EMR), has launched a 720 watt power factor correction module that has a 2.4 x 3.5 inch footprint and a mounting height of just 0.55 inch, making it ideal for space-constrained applications. The new AIT02ZPFC module features a universal input that accepts any voltage in the range 85 to 264 Vac at any frequency from 47 to 63 Hz and from 360 to 800 Hz.

CG2, Quantum3D Technogies Power AAEF C4ISR On-The-Move Experiment
CG2®, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Quantum3D®, Inc., announced that the Company’s Command and Control in 3D (C3D(TM)) advanced realtime 3D visualization software application technology demonstrator, developed under a Phase II Small Business Innovative Research (SBIR) Program from the U.S. Army Communications Electronics Research, Development and Engineering Center (CERDEC), along with Quantum3D Thermite® Tactical Visual Computers are being employed in the U.S. Army Air Assault Expeditionary Force (AAEF) C4ISR On-The-Move experiment at Ft. PrismTech, JPEO JTRS Create Guidelines for Waveform Portability
PrismTech(TM), a leader in high-performance middleware and development tools, recently completed work for the Joint Program Executive Office (JPEO) for the Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) to help define waveform portability guidelines for the Department of Defense’s JTRS program. These guidelines were developed by the JPEO’s Network Enterprise Domain Test & Evaluation (NED T&E) organization with contributions from PrismTech as well as other leaders in the Software Defined Radio (SDR) industry.

MontaVista Software Joins SCOPE Alliance

AWR, NXP Debut Microwave Office 2007 Design Software Simulation Library
Applied Wave Research, Inc. (AWR®) announced the completion and release of a Microwave Office® 2007 design software simulation library that features NXP Semiconductor’s sixth-generation laterally-diffused metal oxide semiconductor (LDMOS) devices.
