Cadence Announces Record Attendance for CDNLive! User Conference
Cadence Design Systems, Inc. (NASDAQ: CDNS), the leader in global electronic-design innovation, announced record attendance and a record number of technical presentations at its CDNLive! Silicon Valley Conference for semiconductor and electronics systems designers. Attendance of over 700 registered designers, design managers and executives at the conference, held Sept. 10-12, 2007 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center, represents an increase of 32 percent over last year and surpasses all previous records. Total attendance, including exhibitors and Cadence engineers, exceeded 1,200 with attendees coming from 16 countries and representing 183 companies.
NI Announces PXIe-5672 PXI Express RF Vector Signal Generator
National Instruments (Nasdaq:NATI) announced the release of the NI PXIe-5672, an RF vector signal generator that delivers signal generation from 250 kHz to 2.7 GHz, 20 MHz of instantaneous bandwidth and real-time data streaming at up to 25 MS/s. The NI PXIe-5672 also features a PXI Express interface that makes it possible to stream data from hard disk or PC memory at the full output rate of the instrument. The NI PXIe-5672 is compatible with all NI PXI, PXI Express modular instruments and NI LabVIEW modulation algorithms, making it easy for engineers to develop a complete PXI-based RF record and playback system, as well as broadcast video and general-purpose communication test systems.
SolidoSTAT Increases Yield of AMS, Custom Digital, Memory ICs

Cypress Debuts Flawless Wireless Protocol for 2.4-GHz Spectrum
Cypress Semiconductor Corp. (NYSE:CY) introduced an upgraded version of its wireless protocol that enables flawless operation in the 2.4-GHz spectrum. The new version of Cypress’s best-in-class AgileHID(TM) wireless protocol is specifically designed to overcome interference from emerging 802.11n networks, which, along with cordless phones, microwaves and other devices in the 2.4-GHz band, can severely hamper the performance of wireless peripherals. It also further reduces the power consumption of Cypress’s 2.4-GHz WirelessUSB(TM) LP and PRoC(TM) LP Programmable Radio-on-a-Chip wireless solutions, extending battery life in various wireless applications such as PC peripherals, remote controls, toys, medical instruments and industrial appliances.
