ST Integrates Cinea’s Running Marks Watermarking into Chipsets
Cinea, Inc., a subsidiary of Dolby Laboratories, Inc. (NYSE:DLB), announced that STMicroelectronics (NYSE:STM), one of the world’s largest semiconductor companies and a leader in set-top box chips, has integrated Cinea’s Running Marks(TM) solution into its STi7109 System-on-Chip (SoC) HDTV decoder platform. The integrated solution is available to all set-top box vendors, conditional access vendors, and cable, Telco, and satellite system operators.

Lencore Acoustics Selects Echelon for Spectra i.Net Sound Masking
Echelon Corporation (NASDAQ:ELON), a leading provider of networking technology that is used to create and manage automation systems, announced that its technology has been incorporated in a market leading sound masking system, Spectra i.Net(TM) from Lencore Acoustics Corp. Sound masking uses sophisticated electronics to gently raise background sound levels to reduce the intelligibility of speech, increasing employee privacy and reducing noise-induced stress in typical work environments. Terocelo Lycon Chip Connects Any Wireless Handset to Any Cell Network
Open networks may be a nightmare to service providers and a pipe dream for hackers but with Terocelo technology it is a growing reality. If you choose to switch cell providers, you can keep your number but not your physical phone, leading hackers, such as George Hotz, to tinker with the phone’s wiring and chips to unlock it allowing it to work with other providers. In this case Hotz hacked the iPhone allowing it to be used on the T-Mobile Network.

Texas Instruments, Arrow Electronics Offer Analog eLab Webinar
Texas Instruments Incorporated (TI) (NYSE: TXN) and Arrow Electronics Inc.
