TSMC Qualifies .13-micron Embedded Flash Process
Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company, Ltd. (TSE: 2330, NYSE: TSM) announced that it has qualified its 0.13-micron embedded flash process and has entered production. TSMC is the first pure-play foundry to launch production of a fully logic compatible 0.13-micron process featuring embedded flash technology.
Denali Enables Rapid Deployment of First GDDR5 Memories for Qimonda
Qimonda AG, a leading supplier of memory products, and Denali Software, Inc., a world-leading provider of electronic design automation (EDA) software and intellectual property (IP), announced a collaboration to provide simulation models for the industry’s first Graphics Double Data Rate 5 (GDDR5) high-end memory devices. Over the last several months, Denali and Qimonda have been supporting early adopters of GDDR5 with jointly verified simulation models from Denali.
