An Easy Way to Debug Embedded Linux Webinar
MontaVista Software and Ultimate Solutions will present a free one-hour webinar showcasing embedded Linux development and debugging. The event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 21st at 10:30 a.m. U.S. Pacific Time (1:30 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time). Webinar attendees will see a live demonstration of the MontaVista DevRocket(TM) integrated development environment and USI's LinuxScope-JTD(TM) JTAG target debugger. The presentation will show how these Eclipse(TM)-based tools can speed and simplify the embedded development lifecycle, from hardware bring-up to OS/driver loads to application debugging.
The online event will:
- Show how DevRocket and LinuxScope-JTD comprise an end-to-end Eclipse-based platform for the embedded development lifecycle, from hardware bring-up to OS/driver loads to application debugging
- Give you an overview of the JTAG debug environment and show features you can use for low-level debugging
- Discuss the benefits of using a JTAG emulator for kernel debugging versus source level debuggers such as KGDB
- Provide an overview of Das U-Boot debugging
The technically-oriented webinar is designed to provide new insights for developers responsible for kernel and driver synchronization with hardware updates, kernel configuration, creation of system images for boards, and kernel/application integration. A live question-and-answer session will give audience members the opportunity to interact with the presenters and guide the discussion to their areas of interest.
