Landscape for Fixed-Mobile Convergence Webinar

Posted by Ken Cheung in Events, Training,Wireless on Tuesday, August 14, 2007

ABI Research and FierceTelecom is offering a webinar titled, “The Landscape for Fixed-Mobile Convergence.” The webinar will feature in-depth analysis of key fixed-mobile convergence market trends and forecasts. It will examine how the various solutions for fixed-mobile convergence fit together, including the mass-market FMC solutions currently being deployed, and how, from a hardware platform perspective, dual-mode Wi-Fi-enabled handsets will compete with femtocells in the race to capture fixed voice services.

The webinar will also examine what carriers are doing in this field today, which critical barriers need to be overcome, the growth potential of FMC markets, and how Wi-Fi attach rate in cellular handsets affects the balance between Wi-Fi-based and femtocell-based FMC solutions. The online event will take place on August 21st at 11:00 am (EDT). The session will conclude with a 20-minute period for viewers’ questions.
