Micrel MIC2807 Power Management IC
Micrel’s (Nasdaq: MCRL) MIC2807 is a high performance power management IC that provides a complete RF solution for UMTS, EDGE, CDMA2000, and WCDMA handsets. The new device, housed in a tiny 2.5mm x 2.8mm MLF(R) package, provides a total of three outputs; a 2MHz buck regulator and two low noise linear regulators. The device is suitable for next generation 3G handsets as well as WiBro and WiFi applications. The MIC2807 is currently available in volume with pricing starting at $2.50 for 1K quantity.

DSM Computer 96M4271o Industrial Module
DSM Computer’s 96M4271o industrial module is equipped with a Merom 2.16 GHz processor (T7400) and features the Intel(R) 945GM and ICH7-M chipsets. The Intel(R) Core(TM) 2 Duo processor is able to access the main memory with a maximum capacity of 2 GB via a 667/533 MHz front side bus (socket 479). The 338 x 122 mm card is also available with Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo/Solo or Intel(R) Celeron(R) M processors for less intensive applications.

LatticeECP2M PCI Express x4 IP Core
Lattice Semiconductor (NASDAQ: LSCC) LatticeECP2M PCI Express x4 IP core is optimized for the LatticeECP2M(TM) low-cost FPGA family. Like the previous PCI Express x1 IP core for LatticeECP2M devices, the x4 version implements a single-chip PCI Express endpoint solution with integrated SERDES that is ideal for high-volume, low-cost and limited form-factor applications.

NEC 78K0/Lx3 8-Bit All Flash Microcontrollers
NEC’s 78K0/Lx3 family of 8-bit all flash microcontrollers (MCUs) feature on-chip liquid crystal display (LCD) controllers/drivers and extremely low power consumption levels. The MCUs are ideal for consumer electronics-type products that have LCD panels and strict power consumption requirements. The new devices can be used in home healthcare equipment such as scales, blood pressure monitors and blood glucose meters; HVAC and industrial systems such as utility meters; and household appliances such as coffee makers.

Texas Instruments C6727B Floating-Point DSP
Texas Instruments (NYSE: TXN) TMS320C6727B DSP is a high performing floating-point DSP running at 350 MHz. The C6727B DSP is tuned for performance hungry applications for which a significant speed increase will impact OEM’s ability to create unique and advanced product offerings, including high quality audio conferencing, multi-channel audio systems, audio broadcast biometric and industrial solutions. TI’s floating-point DSP portfolio, including the C6727B DSP, is based on the TMS320C67x+ DSP generation-based core, a C-efficient, VLIW architecture that offers significant application performance improvements. The C6727B DSP is also available at speeds of 275 MHz and 300 MHz, giving developers the flexibility to seamlessly migrate to 350 MHz without changing the hardware on their design.

Kontron EPIC/PM Board
The Kontron EPIC/PM is based on the 90nm Intel(R) Pentium(R) M 745 processor and offers complete PC/104-Plus functionality with both PCI and ISA expansion. As with other Kontron products, the EPIC family of boards maintains the same internal and external I/O connector locations for easy scalability without changing the enclosure design. The Kontron EPIC/PM also boasts an Intel(R) Pentium(R) M 745 processor with 1.8 GHz and 2 MB L2 cache for excellent performance. For cost sensitive applications or fanless operation, the Kontron EPIC/PM is also available in ULV Celeron M 373 with 1 GHz (512 KB L2) or Intel processor Celeron 800 MHz (0KB L2) Versions.
