ST Introduces Ultra-Compact Two-Axis Analog Accelerometer
STMicroelectronics (NYSE: STM), a leading supplier of MEMS (Micro-Electro-Mechanical System) devices, announced a new solution extending its family of ultra-compact ‘low-g’ linear accelerometers. Its ultra-compact square footprint and low power consumption makes the LIS244AL motion-sensing device ideally suited for battery-powered portable applications, such as mobile phones, portable multimedia players or remote controls.

Advansus Unveils mini-ITX Motherboard for Multimedia Networking
Advansus, a joint-venture company of ASUS and Advantech, introduces i915GV2-LEI mini-ITX motherboard. High energy efficiency and low power consumption makes i915GV2-LEI a truly quality low-cost motherboard, which is based on Intel(R) mobile Pentium(R) M processors running with very low average power consumption than desktop processors, and the 915GV system chipset with a low Thermal Design Power (TDP). The i915GV2-LEI is designed to meet a wide range of multimedia intensive applications, and it packs in a variety of well integrated features, including 2-CH LVDS, 6-CH HD Audio, Dual Gigabit LAN, two COM ports, eight USB ports and one PCI interface.

Bull Licenses Moore Microprocessor Patents
Alliacense announced that Bull (Paris:BUL), a major information technology company that designs and develops Intel and IBM Power based servers and software, has purchased a Moore Microprocessor Patent(TM) (MMP) Portfolio license from The TPL Group. Bull joins a roster of 17 other global system manufacturers that have purchased licenses over the past 18 months.
